Listen Champion Award, an annual award for those exemplifying forward thinking
in assistive listening. The award will be presented annually each October. Criteria
for honorees include their contributions to advocacy, compliance, implementation,
technology and/or innovation. The recipient of the inaugural award is Bill Register,
Director of Facilities & Theater Management, Nederlander Producing Company.
Cory Schaeffer, Listen Technologies Co-Founder and Vice President of Business
Development, announced the establishment of the annual award, which underscores
Listen’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness of hearing disabilities and
assistive listening and to acknowledging leaders in these initiatives. The
inaugural award was presented to Mr. Register at a private ceremony in New York
on October 14.
