BenQ Highlights 4K Interactive Panel at FETC 2016

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Jan. 13, 2016 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of Classroom IQ solutions, today announced its revolutionary RP790 interactive flat panel (IFP) display will be demonstrated at FETC 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The solution will be on display for education leaders and technology experts to experience in Troxell Communications booth 2023, from Jan. 13-15 at the Orange County Convention Center. The RP790 is a 79-inch, 4K classroom-ready IFP that replaces standard blackboards, whiteboards and interactive whiteboards, making collaboration in the classroom easy for students and educators while decreasing school installation, labor and future maintenance costs.

Part of the company’s commitment to the education market — the BenQ Education Solutions in Technology (BEST) program — the RP790 and BenQ’s wide range of educational solutions are created to provide industry partners across North America with dedicated sales and support initiatives. The program furthers the company’s focus on the success of students, teachers and learning institutions.

“BenQ brings some of the most advanced classroom technologies to teachers, students and schools,” said Jan Spence, associate vice president of marketing communications and branding for BenQ America Corp. “The RP790 is purpose-built to satisfy the need for more interactive and immersive education experiences by offering engaging 4K visuals and supporting the move toward the use of Web-enabled collaboration. Schools can now create connected classrooms that enrich the learning environment.”

The RP790 offers easy-to-use, highly accurate and reliable multitouch technology with superb image quality and complete multimedia connectivity to any learning environment. Featuring 10 touch points, the 79-inch, 4K UHD IFP lets users interact with vibrant content using an integrated Android™ PC annotation program. To boost the visual experience, the panel comes equipped with BenQ’s suite of Eye-Care tools such as anti-glare glass to counter light reflection, Low Blue Light technology and ZeroFlicker™ backlight to reduce eye fatigue during long hours of content viewing and instruction. Equipped with DisplayNote, a free bundle desktop and mobile application, the RP790 allows educators to create more collaborative lessons by streaming any content directly from their computers to multiple participants across various devices. Perfect for the classroom, BenQ's QWrite software enables onscreen user interaction by editing, highlighting and co-creating a wide range of documents. For administrators, BenQ’s Multiple Display Administrator software adds remote monitoring and control capability across multiple units in addition to administering instant equipment performance alerts for IT staff.
